Today is counting day for the EU wide elections and there is some good news and some bad news, at least from the perspective of someone in the UK.
Good news is that the BNP is not doing very well. Not thrilled with the UKIP but they are better than the BNP.
It had been looking like Labour would come in third, instead of the widely predicted fourth, but this is a shocker;
The Tories and Labour are now both predicting that Ukip will come second, and Labour third.
Other wild news;
Betsan Powys, BBC Wales's political editor, says saying the Tories could top the poll in Wales. That would be remarkable.
Live updates are here.
Update; BBC is reporting right now that the BNP may take a seat in Yorkshire/Humber. Still waiting for York to come in. BNP just won a seat in South Yorkshire.
